Masser Potato Farms utilizes the latest technology to grow, pack and deliver the highest quality potatoes in the nation.

In the field, our GPS guided equipment is designed to keep nutrients in the soil and reduce potato bruising. Irrigation systems only water crops when necessary, while integrated pest management policies allow beneficial insects to thrive, keeping actual damaging pest populations low, as nature intended.

Our automation and robotics in our packaging facility improves employee safety and allows our products to be gently packaged and shipped to customers in perfect condition.

Masser Potato Farms actively participates in the Pennsylvania Land Preservation program to ensure farmland is available for food production. This includes the renting, leasing or purchasing land of retired operators to keep land in farming instead of being turned into housing or commercial development.

Our in-house agronomy team follows best practice policies with nutrient management, crop rotation and integrated pest management. Advanced soil testing provides a baseline for soil health, allowing us to implement strategies to improve the valuable land used to grow nutritious crops.

Earth Friendly

Keystone Potato Products processes non-potable water from underground abandoned mines into potable water used for food production processing in the plant. Using this water decreases the amount of acid mine drainage that escapes the mine and reduces damage to local streams.

KPP also connects via pipeline to an adjacent landfill. We utilize the methane gas extracted from the landfill to generate steam for a boiler that powers many of the plants heating, peeling, cooking and drying operations.

The Masser Family of Companies is investing in sustainable farming practices, regenerative farming and strategic growth opportunities, ultimately enabling us to efficiently deliver the highest quality potato products to our retailers and customers.

Having three unique crops builds organic matter levels in the soil, as the unharvested crop cover returns nutrients and carbon to the soil — directly reducing the amount of fertilizer needed for the crop.
