About Our Company

We are an eighth-generation family-owned farming company located in the beautiful Pennsylvania Dutch Hegins and Lykens Valleys. The rolling hills and red shale soil of these valleys provide a unique, well-drained farmland composition that contributes to the unique taste and texture of the high-quality potatoes grown on our farms.

Years of potato farming experience are combined with today’s newest technology to deliver top-quality products at the best value through integrated state-of-the-art operations and sustainable agricultural and supply chain practices. We are also a partner-owner in Fresh Solution Farms, LLC: a state-of-the-art growing, storage, packing, and shipping facility that allows us to deliver products nationwide.  If you’re looking for potato farms near you, we offer quality and efficiency that’s hard to beat.

Establishing Our Roots Since 1754

Company History

 

  • 1754 – The first Masser family immigrates from Germany to Pennsylvania and begins their farming journey.
  • 1800’s – the next 4 generations of Massers continue to grow potatoes on the family farm, selling them to local residents and towns.
  • 1940 – Farmland was purchased in Sacramento, PA, the current headquarters for the Masser Family of Companies.
  • 1970 – Sterman Masser, Inc was established.
  • 2003 –  Keystone Potato Products  was established.
  • 2013 –  Masser Logistic Services  was launched.
  • 2022 –  Lykens Valley Grain  was created.
  • Present Day – Currently in the 8th generation of leadership, the Masser Family of Companies  farms and transports potatoes  and  potato products  across the nation.

To help relieve physical stress, we increased automation to reduce redundant manual work.
For example, we have seven automatic balers and robotic palletizers integrated at our farm to reduce the strain on our workers.

In addition, our employees are offered complimentary vaccine clinics, nutritious foods in break room vending machines and ergonomic office furniture.
